Repackaging Price Cap Clears Key House Subcommittee

The Florida House Insurance and Banking Subcommittee voted 11-1 on Thursday to approve legislation that would cap the price of repackaged drugs dispensed to injured workers at the average wholesale price set by the original manufacturer, plus a $4.18 dispensing fee.The subcommittee approved House Bill 605, filed by Rep. Matt Hudson, R-Naples. The National Council on Compensation Insurance predicts the bill will save $27.3 million and reduce workers' compensation costs in the state by 1.1% per year.Rep.
