Roofing Contractor Cited for Lack of Fall Protection

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited an Illinois roofing contractor for eight safety violations and $47,960 in fines after determining that the employer failed to protect its employees from work-related falls.During a Jan. 16 inspection of a Woodridge Enterprises' work site in Lemont, Ill., OSHA investigators discovered that the employer lacked fall protection for workers on scaffolds 20 feet and above.
