California Gov. Gavin Newsom appointed prominent San Francisco attorney and long-time financial backer Richard Guggenhime to the State Compensation Insurance Fund board of directors.
Guggenhime, 79, will replace Robin Baker and serve a term that runs until 2024. The position does not require Senate confirmation and pays an annual salary of $60,797.
