W.R. Berkley Announces Two Executive Appointments

W.R. Berkley Corp. has appointed James Gilbert as an executive vice president, and has appointed Brian Douglas to fill Gilbert’s previous position as president of BerkleyNet Underwriters. The appointments are effective immediately. Gilbert has nearly 30 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. He was named president of BerkleyNet in 2014 after serving as senior vice president of actuarial and operations since it was formed in 2006.
