The Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission will start levying fines in the third quarter of this year on insurers that file late policy notices.
Virginia Code allows the VWCC to fine insurers up to $500 for each failure to make a report and will start assessing $250 fines on every late filing that occurs starting in the third quarter of 2015, Insurance Manager Aubrey Chigwada warned in a notice posted on the commission's website.
