The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office filed five felony charges against the president and manager of Parter Medical Products Inc. for allegedly attempting to cover up workplace exposure to a toxic chemical linked to cancer.
Prosecutors said Parter Medical Products Inc., doing business as Parter Sterilization Services, exposed workers to ethylene oxide, a chemical used to sterilize medical equipment when steam or radiation can't be used.
