Agents Asking TDI to Extend Negotiated X-Mod Rule

The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas is asking the state Department of Insurance to extend the expiration date of a rule that allows allows insurers to use negotiated experience modifiers for an additional year. Rule 4-C-4 of the National Council on Compensation Insurance’s rating plan manual allows carriers to negotiate experience ratings with employers rather than using the manual’s strict formula.
