Udall Plans Bill to Reform Nuclear Weapons Compensation Program

U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, D-Colo., has enlisted support from Congressional leaders and plans to introduce legislation to reform the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program, which critics say unfairly denies care to former nuclear weapons, the Rocky Mountain News reported on Tuesday.The newspaper said Udall plans to call his bill the Charlie Wolf Act, after a former employee of the Rocky Flats nuclear weapons plant near Denver who died on Saturday after a long-struggle to increase federal workers' compensation benefits.The Rocky Mountain News reported that Senate Majority Lea...
