The Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission has issued notice to businesses that it will begin assessing increased fines for insurers who don’t file electronically on behalf of the insured.
The commission began conducting quarterly systematic reviews of insurer filings last year, according to the letter from VWCC Insurance Manager Aubrey Chigwada, and the commission provided insurers with a list of policies that were not filed timely.
