USPS Cited After Worker Ejected From Truck

The U.S. Postal Service is facing proposed federal penalties of $224,585 after a worker at an Austin, Texas, facility was ejected from an industrial truck and injured. USPS was cited Sept. 26 by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The Postal Service has 15 business days to contest the citations. OSHA has alleged that USPS modified trucks to affect their safe operation and didn’t ensure that drivers stopped the vehicles before dismounting.
