The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation announced that a Columbus chiropractor who pleaded guilty to workers’ compensation fraud and forgery was ordered to pay $170,000 in restitution.
The bureau said it opened an investigation into Lawrence Wells based on two allegations that he was billing for services he didn’t provide.
According to the BWC, evidence showed Wells both charged for services not administered and overcharged for those he provided, resulting in overpayments.
