Governor, Lawmakers Continue Game of Political Chicken as Budget Impasse Enters Second Year

Illinois’ Republican governor and the Democratic majorities in the House and Senate continued to play a game of political chicken late Tuesday, up until the midnight adjournment of the General Assembly’s spring session.
