High Court Clarifies When Employers Can Appeal

The Nebraska Supreme Court clarified that an employer may not appeal a workers' compensation ruling in favor of a claimant until the trial court has awarded benefits to the injured worker. The high court issued a decision in the case of Jacobitz v. Aurora Cooperative stating that the employer in the case had filed its appeal too early.
