Worker Can't Proceed With Claim for Injuries From Inherent Hazard

A New York appellate court ruled that an injured worker could not proceed with a claim for negligence or violation of the Labor Law for his injuries from a hazard inherent in his job removing debris.   Case: Pacheco v. Judlau Construction Inc., No. 2018-05670, 09/30/2020, published. Facts: Judlau Contracting Inc. and J-Track LLC formed a joint venture called JTJ, which served as the general contractor for a rehabilitation project.
