The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation will hold a public hearing April 23 to discuss changes to its drug formulary, including removing the addictive opioid oxycodone from the list altogether.
Under Rule 4123-6-21.3, the bureau would replace OxyContin and generic oxycodone with Xtampza ER, which has been shown to be more resistant to abuse.
The public hearing will be held at 10 a.m. April 23 in Room 1, Level 2, 30 W. Spring St. in Columbus. Written comments should be emailed to enotification@bwc.state.oh.us.
