OSHA Fines Auto Part Coating Shop $62,400 for Repeated Amputation Hazards

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is proposing fines of $62,400 for a Mansfield, Ohio, company that allegedly failed to guard against machines starting up unexpectedly during cleaning and maintenance. OSHA inspectors cited the Kronis Coatings Division of Jay Industries for four serious and one repeat violation after a July 17 inspection, according to a Tuesday press release.
