Final Rule Specifies Wage Index to be Used for Setting Max. Benefits

The Arizona Industrial Commission gave notice Friday that it has adopted a rule that will change the index used to set maximum monthly workers' compensation benefits. A notice on Page 1925 of the Arizona Administrative Register states that the commission will use the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistic's "Employment Cost Index for Wages and Salaries, for Civilian Workers, by Occupational Group and Industry, All Workers" to make annual adjustments to the maximum benefit level by Aug. 1 of each year.The rule was mandated by a change the state Legislature made to Arizona Revised Statute Sectio...
