'Significant' Changes Made to Designated Doctor Proposal

Designated doctors could examine up to five injured workers a day, instead of just one as allowed now, under a second informal working draft of amendments to rules proposed by the Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation. The informal draft proposes two lists of designated doctors (DDs) for each county — one that would allow chiropractors to examine claimants with injuries to the hands, upper extremities, lower extremities, spine and torso, and the feet.
