States that limit initial opioid prescriptions to three days, and those that offer opioid-weaning programs, are more likely to see success in battling the addiction crisis, according to an Opioid Policy Inventory that aims to track initiatives across the country.
The inventory, released today at the Workers’ Compensation Institute’s annual conference, has compiled opioid policy in 33 states, and its publishers plan for it to include all U.S. states in the months to come.
