Queens Contractor Charged with Underreporting Payroll

A construction contractor from Queens, N.Y., has been charged with stealing more than $156,000 in workers' compensation premiums from the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) by underreporting his company's payroll.NYSIF said in a news release that Konstantinos Missirlakis, 33, was charged with grand larceny and workers' compensation fraud.Investigators said Missirlakis owns J & V General Contracting Corp.
