A volunteer fire department in a tiny West Virginia town has temporarily shut down because it failed to pay for workers' compensation coverage.
Grant Town -- population 613, according to the U.S. Census Bureau -- has turned to fire departments in the nearby towns of Fairview and Baxter while the town works to ensure that its own fire department is properly set up, according to a story from local news station WBOY.
