The New York State Workers' Compensation Board has suspended two physicians and removed a third from the list of providers authorized to treat injured workers.
Dr. Douglas Marcus, of Great Neck, was removed because of charges that he failed to provide appropriate care and that he prescribed controlled substances inappropriately, the board's bulletin said. State authorities limited his medical license in September, barring him from prescribing controlled substances.
