Pennsylvania has improved its standing on a national ranking of workers' compensation insurance costs.
This year, it had the 26th highest rates in the country, with premiums of $1.84 per $100 of payroll.
In 2014, premiums of $2 per $100 of payroll gave the state the 17th highest rates.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf celebrated the improvement in a press release Wednesday, calling it "good news for businesses in Pennsylvania and those considering coming to our state."
