Average Charged Rate Down 7% in 2018

California employers on average paid 7% less for coverage in the first half of 2018 than they did in 2017, according to a new report by the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau. The average charged rate of $2.35 per $100 of payroll through June 30, 2018, compares to the average charged rate of $2.52 employers paid last year.
