DWC, Not Waiting on CMS, Authorizes Telemed for Physical Therapy, Rehab

The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation isn't waiting for guidance from Medicare and has moved on its own to authorize telephone and video-based physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation and speech pathology services. The DWC announced Monday that it had adopted, on an emergency basis, new rules to allow the services via telemedicine platforms.
