The Village of Prospect has received a $25,000 grant from the state for a study on how to cope with two workers’ compensation claims that will likely exceed $600,000 and sink the village financially, the Utica Observer-Dispatch reported.The rural village 100 miles west of Albany has a population of 291, and it collects only $28,000 in property taxes a year.
