A woman denied benefits after tripping over her dog and a challenge to the constitutionality of Florida's system that allows expert medical advisers to deny medical treatment will be among the more than two dozen court decisions that will be reviewed during a case law update when the Workers' Compensation Institute's 2019 Educational Conference convenes in Orlando next week.
"It should be a lively discussion,” David Langham, deputy chief judge of the Florida Office of Judges of Compensation Claims, said about the panel that starts at 2:15 p.m. Monday.
