The average monthly wage in Arizona increased 3.1%, resulting in a commensurate increase in maximum indemnity benefits for workers injured on or after Jan. 1, 2020.
The Industrial Commission of Arizona every year indexes the state’s average monthly wage to changes in the Bureau of Labor Statistics Employment Cost Index.
BLS data reflects a 3.1% increase in wages for the 12 months ending in December 2018, the commission said. As a result, the maximum average monthly wage will increase to $4,888.56 from $4,741.57.
