The Nevada Workers’ Compensation Section announced that the maximum monthly benefit for workers injured on or after July 1 will increase by 10.4%, the second-largest increase in nearly 50 years.
The WCA said the state’s average weekly wage for fiscal year 2022 is $1,066.64. The state’s average monthly wage — the weekly wage multiplied by 4.33 — is $6,928.83.
With workers’ compensation benefits capped at 66.67% of the average monthly wage, the maximum benefit for fiscal year 2022 will be $4,618.55 per month. The maximum monthly benefit for 2021 was $4,183.8...
