Three Ohio businessmen must pay more than $800,000 in back premiums and penalties after they pleaded guilty to shirking workers' compensation insurance.
The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation reported that William Foster III, owner of American Construction Group, in Akron, failed to work with the bureau to reinstate his company's policy. A judge sentenced Foster to credit for jail time already served and to follow the BWC payment plan to bring his business into compliance.
He owes the state-run insurance system more than $360,000, the BWC said in a bulletin Friday.
