A California appeals court said a worker’s disability discrimination claim must fail as a matter of law because there was no dispute that her employer engaged in an interactive process to identify a reasonable accommodation.
The court found that Santa Clara County wasn’t to blame for the prolonged accommodation negotiations with Mona Brown that spanned several months and that keeping her on unpaid leave while engaging in the interactive process was not an adverse employment action.
