DWC to Audit Top Prescribers of Compound Drugs

The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation is seeking input as it prepares to audit physicians who prescribe compound drugs as part of its medical quality review process.   The division released its Medical Quality Review Calendar Year 2016 Annual Audit Plan on Feb. 23. The only review category listed in this year's plan is a that of the appropriateness of doctors' decisions and record keeping for prescribing compound medications.
