The Utah state House of Representatives passed a bill that would limit situations in which an entity could be designated as the employer of a person providing home health services.
The House voted 73-0 on Monday to pass HB 111, by Rep. Anthony E. Loubet, R-Salt Lake City.
Under Utah law, a person with a disability or that person's designated representative who employs a person to provide home health and community-based services at least seven hours a week and who uses state or federal money to pay for the services is considered an employer.
