By Sherri Okamoto, Legal ReporterThe Florida Supreme Court last week heard oral arguments about whether the family of a landscaper who was crushed to death by a palm tree can sue his employer's insurance carrier for failing to pay a $9.525 million civil judgment the family obtained against the employer for negligently causing the worker's fatal accident. The U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals certified this question, the threshold issue in a case called Morales v. Zenith Insurance Co., to the Florida high court last March.
