Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. has announced the launch of an authorized generic form of the Flector patch in the U.S.
The diclofenac epolamine topical patch, 1.3%, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, or NSAID, indicated as a topical treatment for acute pain due to minor strains, sprains and contusions.
The Flector patch ranked No. 14 in terms of workers’ comp drug spend in 2016 and 2017, according to a report from Optum’s workers’ compensation division.
