Stone Point Completes Acquisition of Genex Services

Genex Services, a provider of medical cost containment services to the workers' compensation industry, has been acquired by private equity firm Stone Point Capital LLC. Funds managed by Stone Point Capital completed the acquisition of a majority interest in Genex Services from Apax Partners. Terms weren’t disclosed for the deal, which was announced in February. Stone Point previously acquired Genex in 2007, but then sold it to Apax in 2014. Genex was founded in 1978 and provides services to about 380 of the Fortune 500 companies.
