Firefighters at commercial airports regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration will be entitled to a series of rebuttable presumptions under a bill California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law.
The governor on Monday enacted SB 230, by Sen. John Laird, D-Santa Cruz, entitling firefighters at commercial airports to the same presumptions as those covering firefighters at Department of Defense and National Aeronautics and Space Administration facilities.
