OSHA Fines Contractor $77K After Workers Sent 40 Feet up Without Adequate Protection

A masonry contractor working in the Chicago area sent workers up 40 feet without adequate fall protection last fall, and it wasn't the first time, federal safety inspectors said. Occupational Safety and Health Administration officials at the agency's Chicago North office inspected a Polo Masonry Builders Inc. work site in September and found 10 violations of health and safety protocol.
