Commission Posts New Medical Fee Schedules With Some Increases

The Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission has released 2020 medical fee schedules, showing a modest increase for most procedures. For Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code 34520, vein reconstruction, for example, the reimbursement climbs from $1,387 in 2019 to $1,443. Relative value units have also increased slightly, except for physicians' work. For 64555, neuroelectrode implants, the fee goes from $2,198 to $2,696 for non-facility treatment.
