Schmitz Returning to WCAB as Deputy Commissioner

Anne Schmitz on Wednesday returned to the California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board as deputy commissioner, after a six-month hiatus. Schmitz resigned her post as deputy commissioner and secretary of the WCAB last July to take a position with the State Bar Court. She had worked at the Department of Industrial Relations for eight years and had been promoted to deputy commissioner in October 2017.
