Employers Owe $3.2M in Premiums; Bill to Increase Penalties Dies

Wyoming employers owe $3,228,673 to the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services for unpaid premiums and many employers have failed to pay fines, but a bill that would have put more teeth into the state's enforcement efforts died in the Senate last week, according to a report by WyoFile.com. The online news service reported that 1,834 employers were delinquent in paying premiums to the state-monopoly workers' comp system.
