The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is accepting comments through June 20 on a proposed rule regarding crane operator certification requirements. The proposed rule would expand the type of certification programs for crane operators, according to OSHA, helping more operators meet certification requirements. The proposal would reinstate the employer duty to ensure that a crane operator is qualified to safely operate equipment.
