Assembly Passes Firefighter Salary Continuation Measure

The California Assembly passed a bill before concluding the 2021 session last week that would allow state firefighters to receive salary continuation benefits in lieu of temporary disability. The Assembly unanimously concurred in amendments to AB 872 on Thursday, the same day it unanimously approved amendments to AB 1511, an omnibus insurance bill that includes a provision addressing mail delays for work comp policy cancellations.
