The Colorado House of Representatives passed a bill that would maintain the accreditation program through 2036 for health care providers treating injured workers.
The House on Friday voted 43-21 to pass Senate Bill 186, by Sen. Faith Winter, D-Adams, which would postpone the Sept. 1 sunsetting of the accreditation system lawmakers created in 1991 to Sept. 1, 2036.
The Colorado General Assembly in 1991 created a two-tiered accreditation system for providers treating injured workers.
