A woman who owns a cannabis delivery service in Northern California was fined $3,500 for failing to carry workers’ compensation insurance.
Vanessa Lizeth Aguilar, 37, of Soledad, was sentenced on Friday, the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office announced on Monday.
Monterey County Superior Court Judge Thomas Wills also ordered Aguilar to serve three years of probation. She faces up to a year in county jail and additional fines if she violates her probation.
