High Court Says Exclusivity Shielded Driver from Contribution Claim

New York's highest court ruled that a defendant in a civil action arising from a motor vehicle accident cannot pursue contribution pursuant to the Vehicle and Traffic Law against a driver who was at fault for the accident, but immune from liability to the injured party under the Workers' Compensation Law.Case: Isabella v.
