Leaders of victims' organizations have written to ranking U.S. senators warning that a proposed national asbestos trust fund is likely to go bankrupt and fail.
With the bill scheduled to be heard Thursday by the Senate Judiciary Committee, a half-dozen leaders of national victims' groups fired off a letter to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and Democratic Leader Harry Reid to warn them that the funding is inadequate.
