Employers Holdings Inc. has reported a net income of $25.6 million for the fourth quarter of 2018, an 18% decrease from $31.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2017.
For full year 2018, Employers’ net income was $141 million, up 40% from $101 million in 2017.
The monoline workers’ comp carrier’s net premiums written were down 4% in the fourth quarter, to $160 million. But for the full year, net premiums written grew 3%, to $749 million.
The fourth quarter included $25.4 million of favorable prior-year loss reserve development.
