A former postal worker in Maryland pleaded guilty Monday to defrauding the federal government out of almost $62,700 in injury benefits from 2016 to 2019, the U.S. Attorney's office announced.
Ronald Repass, 57, now faces up to five years in prison and a fine of as much as $250,000. He was indicted in August after investigators found him to be working as a snowplow operator, a service adviser at an automobile repair shop, a plumber, a window-blind installer and a landscaper.
The Poolesville man was granted benefits in 2015 after he fell on his shoulder and tore his rotator cuff....
