A bill that would assess civil penalties against workers' compensation payers that abuse disclosure and payment rules for preferred provider organization networks is on Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam's desk after winning unanimous approval by both chambers of the General Assembly.
The Senate gave final approval to Senate Bill 1758 by Rep. Mark White, R-Memphis, on April 7 and sent the bill to Haslam's desk on April 13, according to the legislature's website.
